Author, Speaker, Coach
Colleen Troy has an adventurous spirit in spite of being a scaredy-cat at times. She has hiked ONE small part of the Appalachian Trail; completed three sprint triathlons and more recently earned an open water scuba diving certification. She is a life coach (certified with Martha Beck, Ph.D.) writer, speaker (trained by Gail Larsen through her Transformational Speaking program) and hospice volunteer. Colleen has presented workshops to nursing homes, activity directors and hospice departments as well as numerous small group experiences and coaching retreats.!
Her clients are women who are dying to live a life of soul liberation. She loves interviewing and writing about women as they maneuver difficult life transitions. She believes in supporting the witnessing of death as a beautiful and humane part of life and adheres to the principle that no one should die alone, unless it is their choice. Her definitive moment has yet to occur (it’ll be her final breath) but in the meantime, she is the creator, writer, executive producer and star of the multitude of belly laughs, tears, fears, triumphs, and appreciations are weaving a tapestry unlike any one else.!
Colleen is lover of courtyard gardens, the hula hoop and once had her bbbbbblueberry pie sell for $80 at a silent auction. After 50 years, she has learned to loved her dimples.!!
Additionally, she co-owns Senior Cycling with her husband Mark; a bike touring company for folks over 50. She recently relocated to Asheville, NC and finds the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains outside her window simply stunning.
